Baltimore Beer by Bike

Baltimore Beer by Bike

Portland, Oregon boasts that it is “The City of the Three B’s”-Books, Bikes and Beer”. Come along on Baltimore Heritage’s version of the three B’s-“Baltimore, Bikes, and Beer”. Take a journey from the Barnitz Brewery (Baltimore’s first brewery in 1748) all the way to the Union Craft microbrewery in Hampden. Along the way see the site of the brewery where Mary Pickersgill sewed her famous flag, learn what happened to Natty Boh’s other eye, see where Mencken had his first legal beer when prohibition ended at 12:01 AM, April 7, 1933, meet King Gambrinus, the Patron Saint of Beer, and see the only monument in the nation honoring the end of prohibition. Conclude your ride by touring the Union Craft brewery and sampling some of their fine microbrews.
