Summer Evening at Evergreen
Experience Evergreen Museum & Library’s artistic wonderland and expansive gardens after hours at this annual, free, family-friendly event.
See three ongoing special exhibitions, including works by important contemporary American printmaker Peter Milton, a former faculty member at MICA, and infrared photographs by Baltimore photographer Phyllis Arbesman Berger. Explore the Gilded Age mansion’s first floor installations and historic rooms; and see a display of rare Shakespeare materials drawn from the John Work Garrett Library.
A 6 p.m. gallery talk will be held in the the exhibition "Peter Milton: Etching Enigmas" with the curators. Light summer refreshments will be served.
Then head to the Meadow to see an uder-the-stars dress rehearsal of "Twelfth Night" by the Baltimore Shakespeare Factory. The performance begins at 8 p.m. with a 7:30 preshow featuring contemporary music and other entertainment. Picnicking in the Meadow is welcome (bring your blanket and lawn chairs).
