Nathan Reising is a versatile musician who is quickly making a name for himself on the Baltimore/Washington D.C. jazz scene. Originally from Towson, MD, he began studying piano at age 4, eventually picking up the saxophone at age 10 after being inspired by the music of John Coltrane. These days, he performs frequently and with equal skill on both instruments. Nathan is a recent graduate of the 2016 Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead Program, where he was recognized for his performance, composition, and arrangement skills. This Fall, he will attend the New England Conservatory for graduate studies in jazz saxophone. Nathan plays alto with an urgent, crystal clear tone that commands attention. His quartet performs exciting original compositions and arrangements that combine his numerous musical influences, which include straight-ahead jazz, classical, and indie folk music. His music is fiery, intimate, and above all, sincere.

Nico Sarbanes, jazz trumpeter, vocalist and composer, was born in Baltimore, Maryland, where he remains active in the local jazz scene. Nico received his Bachelors of Music from the Schulich School of Music at McGill University in Montreal, where he also received multiple awards for performance and composition. While steeped in the rich tradition of jazz, Nico possesses a distinct and passionate sound on the horn, and has also earned widespread praise for his impressive command of the vocal repertoire of the Great American Songbook. With a versatility that appeals to both the aficionado and the casual enthusiast, he has quickly established himself as an artist to watch. Among an ever-growing list of performance credits are two performances at the Montreal International Jazz Festival (including one as the opening act for Grammy Award winner Dianne Reeves). Recently, Nico led a successful series of shows at Baltimore's acclaimed jazz venue, An Die Musik, celebrating Batimore's jazz scene and featuring him in performance with some of the city's jazz heroes, among them Antonio Hart, Warren Wolf, Winard Harper, and Tim Green."
