Doug Stevenson is the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist in Doug Stevenson & The Spades, a country-rock band active since 2012. In Washington in the ‘90s, Doug led the rock band Raised by Wolves and the alt-country band Hooverville. Since relocating to Baltimore, his hometown, he has performed in theatrical shows at the Baltimore Theatre Project and at Fells Point Corner Theatre and with such local groups as the Austin Harp Family and Dan Van and the Mans. Doug's songs--which include country waltzes and shuffles, roots-rock story songs, power-pop tunes, bluegrass numbers and full-fledged rockers—have often been honored by the annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest.
