Brandon Woody is a jazz trumpeter from the Charm City, has been here all of his life. Brandon currently is a senior at Baltimore School for the arts. It all started for him in about 3rd grade when he got to study with his first mentor Craig Alston, it gave him such an excitement for the music, in general. Over the years his love for music developed and got more serious every year. After that he was excepted into the Peabody Preparatory. Throughout middle school he was in all the city-wide high school honor bands. Then he had gotten in to bsa, and this was really important in his maturing.

Throughout his freshman to junior career, he attended several vigorous high school programs for example, the Berklee Jazz Workshop, Grammy Camp, Jazz Band of America. He has studied, performed or played with the following, Terri Lyne Carrington, Alex Norris, Dontae Winslow, Andrew Balio, Paul Carr, Ian Sims, Blake Meister, Craig Alston, Warren Wolf and many more.

He says, "Even though I want to make a living off of jazz, I still love all types of music, especially classical!" He was won the Concerto Competition at Peabody, and is in several orchestras, chamber, wind ensembles, that make him a better player all around. Woody has performed in some of Americas best venues, he has performed at Bohemian Caverns, Jazz at Lincoln center multiple times. Woody was recently selected by The Baltimore Sun as Baltimore's Rising Artist.
