In Search of the Black Knight

In Search of the Black Knight

(72 minutes) This documentary takes a humorous look at a topic that has been on the tongues of professional black women everywhere…the shortage of eligible black men. There are many theories on why this problem exists: education, prison and the "down low" to name a few. We follow film director Tamarat Makonnen as he travels across the country in an attempt to find the truth behind this hot button topic. Combining professional advice, street interviews, and sketch comedy, this humorous and thought-provoking film will have you rethinking what you assumed about the opposite sex. A post-film discussion on black male and female relationships follows the screening with relationship expert and 95.9FM radio personality, LaDawn Black. In conjunction with the exhibition Question Bridge: Black Males.
